well there are many ways you could go about doing this..you could come up with a list of questions that relate to your topic sentence and then take those questions and just shorten them to this format...

this format is set up so that after each roman numeral you write a key component to your topic then the A. and B. is only if you can split that component into 2 diffferent groups. if not just skip that part..


another why to make an outline is to use "bubbles"
you start with the main "bubble" and in that bubble you put ur topic. Then you draw a line to another bubble and list a key component..and this process continues until you are all done then you take what you have written in your bubbles and make the outline just like above..
