Here in the US about welfare system? I understand that sometimes people need help and that is fine. But what about those that LIVE OFF OF WELFARE? Do you feel that there should be a limit? Do you feel they should have to be "fixed" to not have anymore children they can't afford? I don't know about everyone else but I feel it is child abuse to have children and have them live in such conditions. I am tired of seeing women with 5 or 6 kids living in government homes and living off of welfare. It really angers me. I am sure I am not the only one. I am tired of seeing women/men that are physically "able" to work but get welfare, medicaid and some of us that need help can't get it!!!

Here, we call those type families "Career Welfare Families". As each generation matures they, in turn, go on welfare and bleed the system for as long as they live. By that time the NEXT generation is mature and applying for welfare, food stamps and all other "freebies" available.
On top of that, many parents will either drug their kids or teach them to act mentally retarded, in school, in order to quality for a "Crazy Check". As far as I know, once you qualify for the crazy check, you are on it for life. There are young men, in this area, that set under a shade tree and drink beer all day. When night falls they go party. They actually wave at you as you drive by. I guess they are waving to send a THANK YOU!!!! Pops

I totally agree with you. I know that in my state they passed a law that states that if you are on welfare, and your minor daughter gets pregnant, she would not be eligble for welfare, and you would not get any additional money for her child. It drastically cut down on teenage pregnancies. But, the democratic governor repealed it, and then teenage pregnancies rose again. It just proved to me that when it cuts into their welfare checks, these welfare mothers can watch their daughters to make sure that they do not get pregnant.
I am a supporter of putting time limits on welfare, giving education to get people off of welfare, and providing subsidies to the working poor. I personally know people that have quit their jobs and gone on welfare, because they could not afford housing, food, and insurance- but if they went on welfare they got those things paid for. That is a poor statement toward our society, it robs people of their pride, by forcing them to take handouts.

I AGREE WITH YOU COMPLETELY. I THINK THAT THEIR TIME ON WELFARE SHOULD BE LIMITED. THEY SHOULD BE GIVEN ENOUGH TIME TO GET A JOB AND GET ON THEIR FEET AND THEN BE KICKED OFF. I DON'T LIKE HOW PEOPLE LIVE OFF OF IT EITHER, IT SHOULD JUST BE FOR THOSE WHO REALLY NEED IT.
TAKE ME FOR EXAMPLE, I AM A FULL TIME COLLEGE STUDENT ABOUT TO GRADUATE WITH MY BACHELORS OF SCIENCE IN NURSING. I HAD A SON THIS YEAR ON JAN 1ST. I DID NOT WANT TO BE ON SECTION 8 SO I JUST TOOK OUT EXTRA SCHOOL LOANS TO PAY FOR MY APARTMENT AND OTHER BILLS. I DO HOWEVER HAVE FOODSTAMPS AND WIC, WHICH I DID NOT WANT EITHER, BUT IT HELPS ME OUT TREMENDOUSLY. I KNOW THAT AS OF DECEMBER 17 WHEN I GRADUATE, THAT WILL ALL COME TO AN END. THE POINT HERE IS THAT PUBLIC ASSISTANCE SHOULD NOT BE A LIFETIME THING. I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE WOULD WANT TO LIVE ON IT

i agree with you completly. i have some family members taht abuse the system like that. i actually repored one of them a few onths ago because she was actually working but getting paid under the table. people may say i am wrong for it, but why should our hard earned tax dollars go to benefit someone who is lazy. and yes i think people do need to be fixed that are on walfare, because they figure that as long as they have a kid they will have walfare. trust me i have a cousin who has eight kids!!!!!! and each time she became pregant she would say the government is about to pay me. it makes me sick.

Disgusting parasitic losers. Welfare should cease entirely and immediately. And those degenerate whores who keep producing children that they cannot afford should be sterilized by the government!
