I am a secondary education history major at Lock Haven University in central Pennsylvania. I am in my 4th year and carry a 3.5 gpa. I am not sure if the degree will be neccessary for a job like that or not but I was in Rome last summer for a few days and really enjoyed it and seeing how its my area of concentration, I think this would be a great summer job and valuable for my future classroom lesson plans.

Make sure you get a visa to work in Italy. Because most Europeans can do this job. They don't need a visa to work in Italy. Plus they expect you to be able to speak fluent Italian. Because the coach driver won't be able to speak English. Since non Europeans will have their own insurance cover. You won't come under the European health care like fellow Europeans.

I would think that you need to find out if (as a foreign national) you would even be allowed to work in Italy. If you are allowed to work, I think you would need some type of work documentation. You need to check with the Italian Consulate. Begin with this website. http://www.italconphila.org/english/jurisdiction.html
Good luck.
