Completely depends on the instructor. Many will only do it if you were deathly ill and won't take things like weddings, funerals, etc. as excuses.

It depends on the instructor - they pretty much make up their own rules.

With most of my professors in college, you had to have original documentation proving why you missed school. This means official death certificate if a family member died, a speeding ticket if you got stopped on the way to class, a doctor's note (for emergencies only, appointments don't count b/c you shouldn't schedule them during class anyway).

I had a couple of teachers who would not accept ANY excuses - no matter how serious. So it depends on who you get.

It's also excused if you're on an official school sport team.

Good luck!

Sometimes. I guess it depends on the instructor. I was allowed to make up a mid-term on Modern European History (to 1500 AD) that I missed.

YES, BUT SOME MAY REQUIRE A DOCTORS EXCUSE. IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR INSTRUCTOR AND THE RULES OF THE COLLEGE

Yes they do but you need to make special arrangements with them, as well as let them know that you will be absent before you actually are. You need to work around their schedule not your own.
