They're the little earbud type, and are getting pretty filthy with ear wax. They don't have foam coverings, and I'm worried about the ear wax getting into the noise holes and ruining the sound quality. Is there any way I can get the ear way off without ruining them? Would it work to wipe them off with alcohol?

You can clean them with a cotton ball or Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. You just want to dip the cotton ball or Q-tip in the alcohol and then rub clean the ear piece.

you know what, it's gonna work, but u won't get it cleaned so much. best way is broke it apart then clean it. but often they use glue to stick the parts together. so once u broke it, u never gonna put it back to normal. i don't really think ear wax's gonna affect so much. if u like the ear buds so much, i assume it's about 100 USD at least? cuz if it's only 20 bucks, that's no need to clean it. cuz 20 dollars ear buds won't provide a good sound anyways, no offense.
