What is the best game you would recomand. I am looking for something that will keep me occupied for a while as i finished off a different RPG not long ago. Can be on any (XBox, PS1 & 2 & 3, PSP, Game Cube, Game boy (All), any other types...)

i find it interesting that you listed ps3 as a console this question will support - no one really has played any RPGs that are on that system - though FFXIII looks decent.
xenogears, as was listed, is great for taking up time - plus it has one of the best video game stories you've ever seen.
chrono trigger was also listed by the same person - you will find that on the playstation disc called "final fantasy chronicles"
you want games that will take hundreds of hours from you? try the nippon ichi games. on la pucelle tactics, i'm at a part of the game that you can reach within two hours of gameplay. i have 80 hours on my gamesave. disgaea is reputedly the best game from this company, and phantom brave isn't far behind. because of the customization that you can do, you can easily waste thousands of hours on these games. not to mention, the highest level on these games is like 999 or 9999.
you don't have super nintendo listed, so you can't play the best RPG of my time, Lufia II - but chrono trigger is a good enough contemporary game.
on the gamecube there is a zelda collectors disc. it contains the first two nintendo games, as well as the two N64 titles, ocarina of time, and majora's mask. while zelda isn't a true rpg, it's a very good action rpg
on the gameboy, final fantasy IV advance is great - but it's only like 30-60 hours of gameplay. final fantasy V advance just came out last tuesday, and is quite good - i'm rather surprised. final fantasy VI advance is due out soon, and tomorrow (nov 14, '06) final fantasy III for the DS is due out

xenogears and chrono trigger are the best overall games.
xenogears is for ps1 and is still better than any game that has come out since.
chrono trigger, same situation was originally released on supernintendo and is still better than any game since.
On playstation a good standard series is suikoden, some will argue that suikoden 2 is the best rpg and it is up there, but I think that is a matter of preference. the new one suikoden 5 is without a doubt the best non-action rpg since suikoden 2, xenogears and chrono trigger the main character unfortunately eventually puts on a uniform that makes him look completely gay and it is hard to play without substituting him out of battles.
The best action type rpgs is marvel ultimate alliance and xmen legends two once you have unlocked iron man.
Final fantasy 1 and 2 are good, 6 is excellent and 7 is good but they are no where near what the nuthugging ff freaks make them out to be. After 7 they are just crap.

Dungeons and Dragons 1rst edition. You don't need a PC or anything special, just some good friends and a D.M. (I do mean Dungeon Master). I've played and DMed the other two editions but still prefer the original. Anything is possible with a roll of the dice. Sorry, I may work in the computer industry, but I still like playing games around a table, face to face with friends.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for Xbox 360 or PS3 - This game will keep you busy for months

If you want occupied then I would get Star Ocean. You can beat it normally easily, but they added battle trophys that are truly impossible to get. I think its been out for a while and there are no 100 completes yet. I think the closest is 96!
FFXII looks good too
And you can't go wrong with OS pokemon!

My favorite all time RPG is Skies of Arcadia. I personally like it on the GC although I'm pretty sure it originally came out on the Dreamcast. It's about Air Pirates!! (Can't go wrong with pirates)

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is definitely a game you should look at. There is an unbelievable amount of things you can do and who doesn't love shooting people with an arrow in first person.

On the XBox, I'd say "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion." Great game.
