I'm struggling to remember a movie from the late-80's to early 90's about a young mother(maybe single, maybe not) raising a terminally ill child. The title may or may not have the child's name in it. Apologies for the incredibly vague nature of this question.

Lorenzo's Oil was one with Susan Sarandon circa 1992... good movie!

The only movie I can think of from that time about a terminally ill child is "Lorenzo's Oil"

SORRY TO DISAPPOINT-NOT LORENZO'S OIL-HE WAS NOT TERMINALLY ILL. HE HAD A BRAIN CHEMICAL MALFUNCTION AND THE OIL WAS ESPECIALLY PROCESSED TO HELP HIM.

i was thinking lorenzo's oil too. the child had a dad, played by nick nolte. they were italian.
