Too many variables!

First, what bitrate are the MP3? Let's assume CD quality, which is generally 128 KB, though I know quite a few who only rips at 192.

Second, what length are the songs? It's anywhere between 2 to 5 minutes. Average is about 4, and average size is about 1 MB per minutes. So, let's just say 4 MB per song.

Three, what's a "regular CD"? You have everything from 65 minute to 90-minute CD.s Common is 700 MB CD. Usually 700 MB CD has about 650 MB left after a wee bit of directory, overhead, and blah blah blah.

You should get about 160 songs on a blank CD-R, but again, that's a ballpark figure.

this entirelly depends upon how much compressed the mp3's are as you miht be knowing....they are measured in kbps. More kbps more file size but ofcouse better sound quality where as less kbps less clarity but reduced file size as well. The global constant of compressed mp3's are 128kbps. 1 normal cd holds 700 mb. If you take on an average of songs of 3min 30 secs...an mp3 disc can hold on anywhere between 130 - 170 songs.

its all depends upon the size of the individual songs..
generally a single mp3 song take around 4-5 mb of space
so therefore, if it's 4 then around 175 songs can be rip on to a single cd and if it's 5 then 140 songs...
its all depend upon the size of the individual song..
not as a whole

It depends on the size of the songs. You add up the song file measurements and it will hold 700 mg. Which is quite a lot. Just right click on the file name (under Windows Explorer, My Music probably) and then regular click on properties to see the file size.
