This "get our of debt" service company says that they will be able to help me get out of debt quickly. The company is Smith and Merrit and their web address is www.spendtowealth.com.

Or does anyone have any knowledge of how they do business and if they really help people?

They say that they have coaches in specific interest areas - for example they have a coach that can help get our real estate investing get off the ground and get us out of our hole.

Thanks for the help

The actual company name I think is "The Smith And Merritt Institute" - I got that from their web site. They are located in Salt Lake City Utah. The owners (Daniel Reed Smith and Kathryn Merritt) wrote a book "Abundance - Spend your way to wealth" on wich their business is based.

Jennifer - it says that they are an active business and in good standing - thanks so much - can I bounce another question off you - how would I find out if they really do what they say they do? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I've been burned way too often and I'm trying to prevent that from happening again.

What state are they in and what is the correct spelling of their company name? That way I can look it up and let you know. I deal with this all day at my work. :)

If you copy and paste this link it will give you information on the status on the business, when they started the company and if they have been reprimanded or not. Make sure you click on detail once you get to this screen.

If it doesn't come up just let me know and I will try it again.

I would suggest the Better Business Bureau and see if there is anything listed on there as well.

Also, try these 2 press releases on the business that I found. From what I am reading they seem pretty legitimate to me.:)
