the official name is india. since it is a secular country some people call it bharat. majority of the people are hindus. hence it is called as hindustan. epics says india was established by bharat sage, hence it is clled bharat. only official name india is to be considered.

Well you cant imagine an english person saying the indian word in the indian accent, so they change it according to what their accent is best with. I think the official name is Hindustan or hind
