What cooridinated colors would look nice? What have you used that looked good? We don't want the boring white top and jeans look that everyone uses.

Tricky one!

Try to avoid white, as this will wash out the wearer. Also, try to avoid ANYTHING with pattern (even if you think it won't be noticed), because it will pull the eye away from the people, who are supposed to be the focus of the pic.

Last Thanksgiving, when we had all of my siblings in town for the holiday, we had a nice portrait taken of the group (since I realized the last time we did it was before either of my brother's kids were born!). We all wore tan colored pants (everybody has a pair of khakis, right?). Then, all of the boys wore blue, and all of the girls wore green. Each one was a slight variation, but we all stayed within the same color, which kept the whole image within the same color range.

I can tell you what NOT to wear. Five generations of women in my family had a portrait taken and each wore a different, boldly colored, patterned top. It looked terrible and took away from a once in a lifetime picture.

I agree...Every family portrait I have seen, from earlier time to present, everyone dresses to the max and doesn't look natural..I can just see them tearing off their cloths, 1st chance they got...yukkkkkk

I would suggest, everyone dress as they're personalities are. I mean...ask them to get dressed up in the clothes they would, as if going out to a nice restaraunt or Christmas...Look natural and clean...Then all go out for din din...You don't even have to get changed..lol...Let the colours fall as they may, so to speak...That pic, will always have their personalities in it...My 2 bit's worth...good question....Yukoneze

i'd say blue or purple with the two denims or khakis. I observed a very lovable kinfolk portrait the place the shirts have extensive numbers on the front and lower back (that they had them made) and definitely everyone replaced into coated up in numerical order and that they have been photographed from the front and from at the back of. That replaced into lovable for one among their photos. i think of they wore purple for the others. They took the photos at a park.

It depends how many , how old and what do they look like. Stick with single colors, you want to draw attention to your face, not your clothes. Always where colors that compliment your skin tones, and hair colors.
