Premature is too early and immature is too late.

Premature is either born early or not developing as quick and normal as others. Immature is how a person acts.

Premature: a birth may be, but not limited to birth only, you can ask many a disappointed lover, or the bewildered bartender when asked for a scotch and wha, wha!
Immature: is the person that doesn't see the disappointment, and expects the drink!

Premature means that something occurs sooner than expected. Immature means that you are acting below your age level as society perceives you "should" act.

you dont really use the word premature when reffering to a person...only when you are talking about the gestation period of a baby eg. baby was 3 weeks premature.....
immature is used to reflect somones behaviour...eg. you are very immature for your age....suggests that a 30yr old behaves like a 15yr old.......
