what does advanced degererative pathology at the c5-c6 level with a ridge of degenerative osteophyte extending across the anterior aspect of the spinal canal mean?

i'm not a doctor, but i am a x-ray tech, i believe this means a loss of bone mass in the joints of the neck bones between the 5th and 6th cervical spine

your lower neck is messed up . . .

there are 7 cervical vertebrate in the neck . . .c5-c6 is the next to last cervical connection .. .before the thoracic.

the anterior aspect is the forward (or front) portion of the spinal canal

osteophyte refers to bone

degenerative pathology . . refers to a general problem . .

It simply means you now have osteoarthritis in your cervical spine. Part of the normal wear and tear process in our body. Your doctor didn't explain to you?

it means ...dont turn your neck far, and dont slip this winter, cuz a halo aint no fun....or are you a doc who really cant read the radiologists report
