Ive been training for around 10 months (Im 16 now, 17 next May). When I started training I was 110lbs, and now I am 158.4lbs, so have put on over 48lbs. I train each muscle group 1x p/week.

This is how my week looks:

Mon: chest
tues: back
wed: off
thurs: bi's and tri's
fri: delts and traps
sat: quads, hams and calves

I train after college, so around 5pm ech day, apart from saturday, when I train around lunchtime. I eat as much as I can (I am bulking very cleanly).

So do you think I would be able to train twice on some days, e.g. on Monday do arms in the morning, and chest in the evening?

Do any of you train twice a day or more than 5x per week?

Thanks for any help or advice!

It is not a good idea to train twice a day. Your body needs to recuperate after each session and that normally takes 24 hours. if you want to superset for, say two weeks, you could train twice a day in alternative cycles, eg. Mondays= legs and chest; Thursdays= arms and back and Saturdays= shoulders and legs. But remember, it is not advisable to do this for long periods of time.

There's no reason you can't train twice a day. Just make sure youre giving your muscle groups at least 48 hours of rest before you train them again. Also, if youre increasing your training, make sure youre increasing your calories or you'll just be burning your muscle. Good luck!

It is not advisable for long periods of time.Your muscles need time to repair. If you over exercise you will soon reach a plateau of no muscle growth.

Your schedule looks fine and it is apparently working if you added that much weight (hopefully muscle). Your muscles need time to relax. If your trying to get bigger then creatine or whey protein is good.

I would advise against it. If you want to train twice a day, then you should do some cardio for your other session instead of lifting.
