CHRISTMAS IS ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT:
Christmas spirit
Good cheer and happiness
Family and friends nearby
Joyous festive music
Everywhere is lit up and colourful
I like Christmas shopping, and making an occasion out of it
I love going up to London to see the lights
Majorly-hyped battle for Christmas #1 in the singles charts
Smell of percolated coffee and tangerines/satsumas
Taste of Advocaat
Vibrant nights out having fun
Buying, choosing, writing and sending lovely Christmas cards
Daytrips out to visit friends in quality places
Crisp winter sunshine
Spirit of love and happiness all around
The look on childrens' faces when they open gifts
Carol services and choral recitals
The sound of bells at midnight mass
Getting a bit merry and singing with my friends
The final shows of autumn reality TV talent shows
Shopping centres and stores are dressed up to the nines
Lovely food (Turkey, mince pies, gravy)
Walking round at night peering at peoples' decorations/lights
Exciting football coverage on telly on Boxing Day
Lots of time off work
Fun and festivity when I am actually at work
Peace on Earth and blessings all round
People are more tolerant and grateful at this time of year
Traditional symbolism
Spirituality in the air
Parties and nightclubbing sessions
Spirit of generosity in the air
Yes, Christmas does get commercial, but this also gives us an excuse to have fun and be generous. Traditions may change over time, but you can always create your own traditions and rituals to keep doing year after year.
People complain that it is 'enforced happiness' but these are usually the types of people who are miserable all the year round. They only have to make an effort for maybe 2 days a year, then they can crawl back into the dark, miserable hovels.
Every major religion has a festival like Christmas, so I can't really see why others frown upon it and call it sinful. These festivals all share the same positive qualities.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE xXx

I am looking forward to chirstmas even though I feel that stores put up decorations way to early. This year my son will be 1 and have his first birthday 2 weeks befor christmas and this year he can actually have fun with the things he gets and I do not have to store it until he gets older like I had to last year. It is also the only time of the year that I can see all my family at the same time and shee all the children interact together. Cause the way I look at it is that It really has nothing to do with the presents and everything to do with being together with the ones you love

Christmas is a blessed occasion, for me as a practising Christian, a sacred occasion, not just a holiday or a time for glitzy glittery things...it goes much deeper than that. May you too be blessed with the Christmas Spirit! x x

I love Christmas, however I do hate all the fuss and the build up!
I mean decorations and trees in the shops in August, toy adverts on the tv, lights being switched on in September.
The christmas I love is being with my family peaceful and quiet

Merry Christmas!
I love Christmas and I can't wait. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when I give a gift to someone and I know they'll love it.

I love Christmas, I just wish it would snow. But here in the southern states, it hasn't snowed anywhere around Christmas in years.

I like it, although I have to admit I didn't one year because the previous year I had had a very serious hospitalization, the duration of which included Christmas. I got over it, though.
