In a mild wrist sprain maybe slightly swollen and tender. And probably feel mild pain when you move it.

Severe pain swelling can change the shape of your wrist and you can may have some bruising (a black and blue discoloration)

a sprained wrist symptoms include: redness, burning on the area hurt-as though you are burning up because of infection in the area-pain, swelling, inflammation. it is severe if it has something like the lump of the golf ball! then you know that you are in trouble and it is really severe! go to a doctor and have some X-rays done! a non-severe sprained wrist is one that hurts some but is flexible. one that is really injured is where you can baredly more your wrist, are in a lot of pain as well as swelling and the other symptoms listed above.

A sprain is actually a vague term, and in most cases people suffer a strain. In either case, there is an over-use of - or there is a stretch of - or there is injury to a ligament or tendon. The tendon in the wrist wraps around it. If there is a lump, it is much more likely that you have a ganglion cyst than a sprain:strain as the latter do not cause a lump. A ganglion cyst is common. It represents a collection of fluid within the sheath of a tendon.

If it has a lump the size of a golf ball, and it hurts like ****, it's probably sprained.

Geez..girl, that sounds severe to me, go to the doctor with it.

Put some ice on it. A bag of frozen vegetables wrapped in a thin towel works for things like that. Large to cover bigger areas.

Signs, swelling, pain, bruising, tenderness.

how far can ya move it without it hurtin? the swelling isa definite sign or can be rather, a nice colord bruise over the area of contact(assumed sprained part) would be another. if you cant move it without it hurtin and you cant put any pressure onit without it hurtin more then likely its sprained and if you can move it farther then ever, or can moveit in ways you never could before, then it might b a break ora pressure fracture
