I saw a question on Y!A asking women what kind of panty hose color, brand, etc. ( I thought it was a stupid question) they wear, but then i thought, what is the purpose of them anyway. Please no rude answers, i really dont know.

Because they look good. Not only that, but they help keep legs warm when it's cooler out, they add a touch of class to an outfit. They are a great accessory to accent an outfit...different colors can make one dress have different looks overall. Support hose help keep your legs healthy and less tired when you're on your feed all the time (just ask a nurse or flight attendant). And for a lot of people, they just feel nice.

They are pretty old fashioned. It used to be unseemly for a women to be out in a skirt without them.
I usually just wear them when I am wearing a skirt or dress and it's cold outside. Or when I have to dress really nice for any occasion.
It makes outfits seem more polished and professional.

They can make legs look tan for women who aren't tan. They also help keep legs warm for cold days when women wear skirts or dresses. Also, they cover any markings or scars or cellulite and make skin look tighter and silkier.
I personally don't think they are very comfy, but sometimes in pictures they look great!

Well, not all women have prefect legs, so we mask the imperfection by our pantyhose. Imperfection meaning scars, birthmarks, bruises, et cetera. Some women don't wear pantyhose, but leg make-up.

i have weird skin so guess panty hose could cover the marks and stuff. plus its nice not having to shave.

It makes my legs look sexy, they do help with a woman's bad areas(waist,tummy,butt), they help prevent varicose legs,etc...I love pantyhose.And wear them daily!
