I know what you are going through. I miscarried my first pregnancy. It was questionable from the beginning, so I didn't want to tell anyone. However, a few people found out. The timing was horrible because I found out I miscarried on my mother's birthday and they wanted to schedule my D&C on my birthday. Thankfully, I was able to postpone it a day.
Anyway, it took 9 months before we conceived again. Although all the tests were fine from the beginning, I was still so nervous to tell anyone. We ended up telling our immediate family and very close friends but I didn't make it public knowledge until I was through my first trimester.
If your mom took it that bad, then maybe it's better to wait until you've made it thru your first trimester. Best wishes.

I think it's a great idea to wait until after the first trimester. Then when you get into your second trimester and things are more secure, give her a framed picture of the most recent ultrasound. Congrats and best wishes! I will pray for you for a healthy and successful pregnancy and delivery.

Yeah, I think that you should wait to tell her, so you can make sure it's not a miscarriage. She will be happy to hear it for sure, but if she finds out that you couldn't go through with the pregnancy, she will be devastated. I wish you good luck with the baby and all you hope for in life. xxx lots of hugs

I would always wait to tell my friends and family until after 12 weeks because the chances of miscarrying ar high.
I HOPE EVERYTHING GOES WELL FOR YOU
GOOD LUCK.

i completely understand. i had 2 miscarriages and when I got pregnant the 3rd time we didn't tell anyone until I had an u/s and knew that everything was alright. so we told my mom by taking her the picture and a poem about becoming a gramma.
it's not a bad thing to wait until you know things are ok

After 3 m/c's of my own, I waited til I was past 20 weeks to tell anyone about this pregnancy. I couldn't stand the "untelling" part of it anymore.
