I have a friend, a year older than me, she's about 14 and I notice her touching her "private" alot, well, not ALOT but quite often, I've never done it but is that a normal thing for a teenager to do?

There is no definition of normal - but it is common for people (male and female) to become preoccupied with their bodies at certain ages. Thus, it is likely that your friends behavior is OK. It is also true, however, that if there is a problem such as a vaginal infection, an individual may touch this area due to irritation.

It's normal so as long as she's not touching your privates then I don't think you have anything to worry about.

She may feel like having to masturbate or something like it. Someone my need to remind her to do it in the bedroom or bathroom, and not in public.

perhaps she is a "late bloomer" it could be that her pubic hair is just starting to grow. it can be very itchy. let her know that you and probably others are aware of what she's doing- she may not even realize it.

yes, its hers, no reason why she shouldnt touch it... shes prob experimenting, lol... or discovering herself... quite normal!!
