One story out of many, I found a large pink fingernail in a sundae at Denny's. They proceeded to have all of the employees come up and show me that it wasn't their fingernail.

They only comped the sundae.

Oh my god!!! As a manager at another fast food restaurant, man did they handle that wrong! First and foremost, an apology should have been made, followed by a complete refund, for the sundae if not the whole meal. An offer to replace it also should have been made. Even if it wasn't somehow their fault, say maybe it came in some prepackaged ice cream, they should first take responsibility to the customer and then deal with the distributor. You should contact their corporation or head manager and tell them about that.

I once found a piece of metal in a taco salad at a Mexican restaurant. They comped a pitcher of Margaritas, got me a new salad and comped desserts for the whole table. They definitely won our repeat business with how they treated that little incident.

It always depends on where you are eating but when i went to Pizza Hut with my boyfriend and his parents his mum found a giant black hair stretching across her pizza. she told the waitress and they took the pizza out straight away and cooked a fresh one.
Most places will just swap the food or offer a refund not march all of the employees out in order to examine their hands!

It depends upon where you are.
A nice one may have better service- the employees are better trained to be as polite and courteous as they can to employees.

Yuck, I would have been nice but I would have wanted it took off my bill and I wouldn't be going back there to eat again.
