no. it's America, gays personally aren't my favorite people, but i respect them because they are human just like everyone else. I don't see why you can't get married if you're gay...

If you look at Ted Haggard or Jimmy Swaggert or Jim Baker, you see a pattern. Those who make the most noise usually have something to hide. If they protest so much you have to wonder how much they find it attractive. Making sex such a taboo only serves to fuel kinky fantasy by putting that person into such a bind of being so against their own nature. Many today are hungry and anxious to identify victims for their unhappiness. Let us hope that this lunacy stops at smokers, and goes no further. It is not far down that path that waits the railroad cars to Auswitch.

People are resistant to change. It wasn't that long ago that coming out at as gay was unthinkable and you hid it for life. Gay marriage is going to happen probably in the next 5-10 years. That might be to slow for some, but Id have to say you guys are coming along at an alarming rate, do you know how long it took before inter racial marriages were finally allowed in the south? So just keep making people see that its not gross and you want to be married just like them and dont be too nutty and people will eventually accept it. There will always be people who dont accept you just because you are gay, but most aren't like that.

Why do so many want to promote hate. Are you afraid your children might love everyone? We shouldn't judge someone because of their lifestyle, isn't that Gods job? You will be judged for the way you treat others, can you really afford to hate someone because they are Gay? Love the sinner not the sin, doesn't anyone remember that one?

With so many people bothered by gay marriage, if they truly want to protect the 'sanctity' of marriage, and aren't using this as an excuse to try to punish gays for being gay, why not allow civil unions.

This is nothing but the religious wrong pushing for theocracy in government.
When you get enforcement of religious doctrine as law, it is a theocracy. A Christian theocracy is no better than an Islamic theocracy.

By refusing to sanction homosexual marriage, it is a statement that the homosexuals will have to bear the responsibility for their own actions. Society is apparently unwilling to accept that responsbility.
