My sisters birthday is near Christmas too. This year I put together a girl night box. That included everything needed to have a girlie night! A chic flick, pop corn, facial mud, Nail polish, candy, lip gloss, etc. It was cheap and a great way for us to spend time together! Its a fun night!!

Good luck sweetie!

I usually buy my special friends something I would not spend money on myself regularly like a lovely piece of jewellery for example. A nice necklace and a pair of earings or maybe just a pice of jewellery and a special meal as a surprise? If she likes pampering perhaps a voucher to a nice spa? But I perfer things that you can keep and use as you always remember someone by.

something fun that I like to do for a friend for their birthday is purchase tickets to a live show or concert for the both of us. Make an evening of it-Spend time together-that is what friends like to do anyways. You can find somewhere to go & something to do within your price limit--these types of gift are really more rememberable anyways. Buying "things" for friends for birthday sometime are a waste. Thing about it, do you really need another trinket or somethine to lay around your house..Have a night out & have FUN.

well u say your close friends and sometimes its the little things that can mean the most, like if you've spent a fair bit of tI'me together im sure there's songs you've both herd together or that mean things to you both, filling photo albums of spacial memory's things like that will mean alot because you didn't just go out and buy it you spent time things about it and really put effort and time in to it and i think she might appreciate that if she thinks that people don't bother with her birthday because its close to Xmas!

How about vouchers for a salon - she could have a facial or get her hair done. And if you book in at the same time, you cold make a day of it.

Some nice clothes or some jewelery or a day trip to one of those out of town factory outlets.
