He may be hoping to start to relationship with you. He also could be trying to find out how deep his feelings are for you and wondering if he has made a mistake.
I believe you are right to steer clear of him unless he is no longer married.
That has happened to me and I guess he thought I was really vulnerable or going to fall into his arms or something. It was hard to resist because I loved him but I managed to escape the desire to see him. I also told him never to contact me again because he was married.

You did the right thing that sounds weird that an ex went through all the trouble to find you and then tells you that he is so in love with his wife. He needs to get a life.

He still has feelings of attraction for you, which is more of letting the little head do the thinking. Once he contacted you he felt guilty about it and felt compelled to tell you that he has a wife who he loves. That was the big head kicking in.

It's pretty obvious isn't it? If he was so "deeply in love with his wife", he wouldn't be spending his time "looking you up".
Good for you for not wanting to "hear from him", sounds like nothing but "trouble" to me!

Sounds to me like he's having some marital problems, and looking to build up his ego, or convince himself of something (namely, of how "in love" he is with his wife). I don't know, just a guess.

He is still hoping to get together with you. It is what we do.
Tell him you would love to hang out with him and his wife and that she sounds great and maybe you could be friends with her.
He will leave you alone

Sounds like he was wondering how things had turned out for you, if you had married, had children or was just happy in general?
Maybe he wanted to prove to you that he was happy?
Maybe he just wants a link to his past?

All you can do is ignore any attempt at contact. Who knows why hes doing it, and who cares. If he doesn happen to call, tell him you have no wish to have any conversations with him.
