I just bought a laptop yesterday and I found a memory card adapter in the packaging and there isn't a manual or anything and I was wondering if someone could tell me what it does. Thanks!

it accepts memory cards from digital cameras and phones and other stuff and lets you access them with your computer

Memory card adapter?? Does it have slots for memory cards? If so, it plugs into your laptop and allows you to insert memory cards into it and access them through "My Computer"

My guess is you plug it into the USB port and plug in the memory chip from your digital camera, mobile phone or MP3 & 4 player.

i have one for my phone memory card. The phone memory card is put into the adaptor which can be put into the computer. you need a special slot in your comp though.
