Sure...this is SPAM and a CON. The sender just wants to get your checking account information so they can STEAL from you! Forget it...ignore it, or better, report the email to your provider, typically...

This is a variant of an old internet phishing scam. Superficial changes have occurred over time, but it remains basically the same.

Although I'm unable to provide you with a source, try typing in specifics from your letter into a search engine. Many times you will find information about the specific phishing scam in your inbox.

Always be cautious when sending private information over the internet. Other than that, I can only say I've seen this con in a thousand different forms in my inbox.

No, they're usually from Nigeria. It's a scam, ignore it.
