Abuse counts the minute you feel uncomfortable with it and are questioning if it is abuse. It can be physical including pinching, punching, smacking, grabbing etc), sexual (inappropriate touchings, forcing to have intercourse, etc., mental (name calling, telling you that you arent worthy of love, restricting you from friends and family, deciding what you do with whom, when and where, controlling finances.

Child abuse can be such thing as being witheld from love and affecton, sexual, mental, pretty much the same as an adult.
Many different ways to be abused and only one way to end it and that is to leave the situation.

Try calling your local domestic abuse shelter or womens group if you have more specific question. they are very good at answering questions

Girl, if you have to ask that... You already know the answer, what are you hoping for, once (I assume this is a man you're referring to)he hits you he'll do it again. I don't care how justified he claims he is or how sorry he is, whatever set him off was not enough reason to lay hands on you. Walk away now while you still have your self-esteem. hitting for any reason once - or continually is abuse. Don't stand for it - you'll be setting an unbreakable pattern for you both- Love Yourself First - and you will meet someone who is good to you ALL of the time. Been there-done that so I know what I'm talking about it "dont" get better it only gets worse!

Depends...some people are physical abusers while others are mental. In most cases you can see the controlling, dominant side to him up front. Most women ignore this and think he's some fabulous protector guy.
Personally? It counts as abuse the second you feel it inside. When you get a knot in your stomach, when you feel like crying and sobbing or whatever.

The first hit/slap/punch/kick is abuse, and it doesnt even have to be physical. Abuse can also be verbal.

Yes. A punch is a punch. If a complete stranger were to punch you, you'd probably press charges.

As long as he hurts you physically or tries at all times to hurt you emotionally then its abuse. Doesn't matter if it only happenned once. If it happenned once and you dont put a stop to it it will happen again.

abuse can come in many forms, it can be mental, verbal and physical, it is done to break your spirit so you have no confidence left in yourself and are no longer strong enough to think that anyone cares about you except the person who is abusing you...
