The players listed for the '90s are good, but I think the '80s team would beat them consistently. I think Shaq matches up well against Hakeem, and Duncan is great, but there's no comparison when it comes to backcourt play. Kobe is a great player, but still a pale imitation of Michael Jordan, while Gary Payton is nowhere near the floor general that John Stockton would be with this team.

The 1992 US Olympic team is considered by many to be the greatest team ever assembled, and four of the guys you listed - MJ, Stockton, Pippen and Malone - were important members of that team. So, I just can't see that '90s group being talked about in the same breath, at least at this point.

Well every player on the 80s has won a ring or more, where it doesnt stand true for the 90s even tho the players are still playing. I think if they played, the fact that jordan and pippen are on the same team would make a big difference, the mcgrady kobe and shaq combo is great too, but why put in gary payton at pg, you could go for nash or jason kidd, but 80s definately would win even though it would be a great game.

the 80's hands down hakeem olajuwon would take shaquille o'neal to school like the time he did when houston took on orlando in the finals i don't remember the exact year karl malone would school tim duncan in the paint all day scottie pippen would give tracy mcgrady fits all day and night on both ends of the floor michael jordan would do the same thing to kobe bryant john stockton woul make gary payton's head spin all day and night

1980s - I think Garnett should be included in 1990s instead of McGrady

How about a 2000s team-
Yao Ming or Amare Stoudemire C
Dwight Howard or Emeka Okafor PF
Carmelo Anthony SF
LeBron James SG
Dwyane Wade or Chris Paul PG

(For the guy below me, Malone and Stockton never won a ring)
