That is a joke, though I am not surprised. Charlton fans have been bombarding talk shows (Well on Talksport at least) asking for his dismissal. These are the same Charlton fans who were asking for Curbishley to go at the end of last season.
If I was sacked a few months into my job while I was getting "bedded in" I would be very unhappy and feel I hadn't been given a chance.
I agree with the writer above who says he will end up back at Palace, Jordan was first out to speak up for him...now has Peter Taylor been given a fair crack of the whip?...

Arcadia may be right, perhaps Curbishley will return and do the business. Seems to me the signings made by Dowie are just not up to Premiership standard.
The team looked good in the second half against Wigan but the defence is as leaky as a thatched roof house.

As soon as a Ian Dowie was announced as Charlton's new manager, i thought it was a bad decision, not disrespect to Dowie, but he is no match for Alan Curbishley.
To all those Charlton's fans who were wanting Curbishley to leave last season, well done.
14 years of hard work undone by some prat for 4 months.

as a crystal palace fan i am pleased to see charlton have seen the light, ian dowie is tactically inept in the top flight and has proved that twice now, now i can go back to wanting charlton winning matches again, and hopefully ian will now go north and be with his family a s that is why he supposedly left palace in the first instance

I hate to say I told you so...!
I stated in this forum before the season had even started he would be a disaster for Charlton. He took Palace down and would have done the same at the Valley so it is the correct move by Charlton before its too late.
Roeder is next to go from Newcastle.....

They didn't give him much of a chance at all. All though I guess they Charlton didn't want to leave it too late or they might have been in the Championship before a new manager came in

After only 15 matches in charge! Ridiculous.
I reckon Curbishley is returning as manager...he's been at every home game since he left, and I'll bet the Charlton board have made him a big offer to tempt him back...mark my words! You read it here first.
