If it is carpeted, you need to steam clean. My suggestion is to vacumn really well, then steam clean the carpeting. After it is dry, you can also buy powders with scents to put on your carpet (or just use a baking soda, http://www.thenewhomemaker.com/node/80), let it stay for about 15 minutes to absorb the smells, and you vacumn it up.

Just clean, clean, clean! Good luck!

Wash EVERYTHING with a strong solution of Lysol, then put a sealant and a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Then vacuum and steam-clean the carpets. And use vinegar to wash the windows: Vinegar is good for killing a lot of odors and cleaning glass.

Good luck!

Take 1/2 water and1/2 vinegar.spray the walls and wipe them down.Get a fan after you spray all over the floors and walls, turn it on and leave it own til the odor is gone.I took the smell out from burned meat out quickly and real cheap. It will not stain the furniture or walls......

Steam clean the carpets, wash the walls and ceiling with Mr. Clean orange oil cleaner or a fresh coat of paint.

Smoke is imbedded in the window treatment, the sofa, all furniture and in anything in closets. You would have to wash or clean everything. Then open all doors and windows for at least 2-4 hours.
