I don't think McEnroe or Borg would live with Federer or the other very top players - the game has changed.
However you can only beat what you are up against on the day, so McEnroe, Connors, Borg, Laver, Rosewall etc were all great for their time as was Fred Perry - where's the next Great Brit coming from - Andy Murray?

No. There is no way to get the feel he had for the ball with the new rackets. He was fast enough and would have had a big serve , but he was not a hard volleyer like Rafter was , he was a touch guy, his volleys would have sat up and gotten murdered by a Nadal type. McEnroe is my favorite player and maybe the reason I played, but today's rackets for touch volleyers is tough.

No. not with today's racquet technology.
One of the main reasons serve & volley died is because players can return and pound balls from baseline, eliminating the need to come up to net consistenly for a volley.

Probably is he is still one of the top doubles players in the world. He had an amazing talent and if he trained as hard as he do today he would be top three

yes he would be fantastic but he lacks the drop shots and he is no rafter, and he would need to gain some muscle mass top 10 or 20 but not no.1

He would probably be number three in the world narrowly behind Nadal but a long way behind Federer.

Against most yes. He would probably be top ten and not number 1. Players are stronger and faster now.
