If so, what are the experiences and associations?

Hi, yes I have had that little *condition*, lol, since I was a little kid. I never even knew it had a name until a few years ago when a magazine ran an article on it, and wow was I tickled that other people actually do the same thing that I do. As young as I can remember, (around 2 1/2), when I heard certain names or words I would immediately associate either a taste, an inanimate object, and or a color with it. For instance some names and their associations to me are: Victoria--I think of those sweet/bitter red roses that they put on a birthday cake, I also sense the taste of them. I definitely see the color red, and the inanimate object is a light switch on a wall. However when I think of the name Vicki, I see green, and *taste* pears. The name Helen, I think of those furry catepillars, color is brown, inanimate object is throw pillows, lol. The word *television* is ticklish to me, taste is licorice. Name Jamie--taste apricots, item is white gym socks, color is definitely a yellow. I could go on and on. What is funny is that people have tried to *trick* me years down the road and ask me over and over what *they remind* me of, and the answers remain the same. Ps, I guess I am one of the few who do not associate numbers w/colours. In fact the names of numbers is one of the few things that do NOT evoke a taste, color, or object, hm.
