I do love reading. I'm a married woman with three children, though, so it's hard to find the time. My oldest daughter is twelve, however, and she loves to read, too. She has a huge library of her own that takes up one whole wall of her bedroom, so your'e not alone! She'd rather read than do anything else, even playing outside or watching TV. I guess she gets it from me and my mother. Don't ever give it up! People will come in and out of your life, but your books will be there forever, so treat your books like treasures!
As for suggestions, it depends on what you like. My daughter enjoys the Harry Potter series, the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, and romantic chapter books. Once in a while she'll read a good mystery by R.L. Stine, which she does like, but she'll only read it when she has nothing else going on over the weekend, because she can't put them down! She's very busy, too, and will read in her spare time, so when she knows she'll have time to read a whole book straight through, then she'll read one of those mystery page-turners!

I love reading and I think it's great when young enjoy it too.Well now I sound old when I'm only 22.I started reading fantasy horror by James Herbert when I was 11 or 12. I really enjoyed them even though they were sometimes very graphic and I think that's what fueled my imagination. It also inspired me to want to become a writer.Harry Potter books are great but you've probably read them already.Try Lord Of The Rings maybe?

i am a couple years older than you, and i have always loved reading as well. i loved the princess diaries series, the first book is like the first movie, but the rest of the books are great too, not quite like the second movie, but very funny, and they even make fun of the movie a little. i am reading "to kill a mocking bird" for school now, and although i haven't finished it and the beggining was not really my style, i am in love with the book. i am also beginning to read "the prophet" by kahlil gibran, though you need to be able to interpret poems well, because it is a book of very great poems about life and everything else.another book i would recommend are "the terrorist" by caroline b. cooney, about this girl who's brother dies because of a bomb in a package on a subway in europe, and she tries to figure out who did it.

I love to read. I usually have one or two books that I am reading simultaneously. I really love reading the classics. I think To Kill A Mockingbird is one of the best books ever written and I suggest that you read it. You will really enjoy it.
I also love reading anything by Anne Rice. I think the Vampire Chronicles are fantastic.

I think most people are stupid if they hate reading! You're doing yourself a great service by wanting to read and expanding your mind...
At your age, I'd recommend reading history... I'm assuming you're American, so read about what made this country of ours so great... and then quiz your parents about it... it'll be fun when you dazzle them with facts!
And if I may make one personal recommendation: Read Bill O'Reilly's book "The O'Reilly Factor for Kids!"
Best regard to ya, cutie... God Bless!

I love to read. It's one of my favorite pass-times. It's hard to make suggestions though without knowing what genre of books you like.

I love to read when I have the time also. I love Katie MacAlister books! She is awesome. She writes romance, comedy, thiller, and drama all in one book. All of her books are great. I've read all of them. Try one.
