The past few months my breasts have been very tender and sore and I've even gone up a size in my bra. I've had a tubal ligation about 11.5 years ago and have taken a PT(neg). What could be causing the soreness??

Have been taking Vitamin E(for hot flashes) for the past 6 months. Also, have had no headaches to go with pain and tenderness.

You did not give your age which is important. This could be a hormonal imbalance, or possibly if you are in the right age bracket, start of menopause. Do you get headaches with this tenderness?

My experience was hormones, so a change was made in diet, and I boosted supplements to increase my hormones. I chose NOT to go on medications for hormones due to side effects. I am now 42, and I was 39 when I experienced what you are talking about. I feel better now. Good luck and talk to your OB Gyn MD.

Totally normal. Because of the fluctuating hormones before your cycle, fluid builds up, causing breasts to be tender and sore. The same is true during your period.

This mostly happens during pregnancy, but sometimes I can feel the tenderness and soreness right before my menstrual cycle.
