Yes last week:-an old git who resigned in disgrace from our committee announced he would be putting up for election again ,i said to a couple of other members that we could always vote him down and anyway he"s got cancer he"ll be dead soon anyway on turning round i came face to face with his wife who had come to say she had persuaded him not to put up because of his health Well the floor din"t open up and swallow me so i just sort off muttered and splutterred and sidled out tail between my legs.

Yes, even though it was the truth. A male friend invited me to move to CA with him, to save money so I could go back to school. I agreed, and he drove up (to OR) to get me but when he got to my door and I saw him, I just couldn't go.
I must've been pretty naive, because I didn't realize that he was in love with me and equated my move with an engagement. He was so hurt that I wouldn't move down there with him, he hasn't spoken to me since... and neither have any of our mutual friends.
That was 16 years ago, and even now I still regret how that turned out.

Once I was so angry I told my brother the reason he has speech difficulties (stammer)is because he was so evil. The moment I told him that I felt so bad. Our parents went ballistic.... that was 10- 11 years ago, but I still think about what I have said to him.

A friend of mine kept pestering me to teach her to swim before she went on holiday. I got really fed up with her going on about it and told her that I was too busy and that she would never beable to swim anyway.
She drowned on her holiday.
You can not take back the spoken word, so always think before you speak.

Yes, when I told someone that I lied about something I'd actually told the truth about just to try to keep things smooth.
