oxidizing agent; its also the electron acceptor in the rxn, but electron acceptor is not in the mult choice

Assuming an Oxidation-Reduction reaction... If the substance is undergoing reduction, then it is being affected by a reducing agent...which means that it is, in turn, oxidizing that reducing agent...and it is therefore the oxidizing agent.
