how do i find out if my employer has been paying the right taxes. If she has not what can I do?

This is the thing i have worked for this lady for about 6 months she had paid me by 3-4 checks w/ a pay stub then one day she was all worried that I had already cashed my check @ the currency. Well the next check I got she told me to go to her bank and cash it.So I did not thinking of it.Well turns out that she had bounced my check @ the currency and did not want me to know about it. Then the following few weeks she was just paying me cash....I thought that was really strange, but I didn't say any thing because I just wanted to get paid. Well to make this long story short she never paid the currency & wont give me my last check...I personaly don't think that she has ever filled out the W-2 for me I don't really know what is going on I need to go futher with this but I need know how to find out what she is doing before I get in trouble for nothing..If someone can help me figure this out I would be very greatfull for any info. I can get on shaddy employers...Thankyou Sandra

contat the irs at www.irs.gov and your state tax people. they have the tax charts and can tell you how much should be taken out.

That question would be better put to the Labor Board. Contact them and explain your situation. She is required by law to provide you with a W-2 by January 31, 2007, provided you filled out a W-4 at the beginning of your employment. Otherwise, she can issue a 1099 and you will be responsible for paying any due taxes.
