I think it's sort of in the premise of your face turning blue when you're holding your breath. It's probably just something someone associated "blue" with when they thought of all that sperm being held in with no release.

I think it could also be associated with swelling. When someone gets a black and blue eye, the bruises usually follow terrible swelling. Thus, because their testes are swollen from being so filled, they naturally associate them with being blue.

And for those of you who honestly don't realize this, "blue balls" is just an expression. They don't actually turn blue!!

Blood turns from blue to red when oxygen contacts it. Inside you blood remains blue that is what gives your veins the blue color. When sexually stimulated you get a build up of blood in your genitals, hence the term blue balls.

ha ha because it's the same idea with suffocation. when you suffocate your face becomes blue because of lack of oxygen. well when guys can't "release", it's like penile suffocation.
