Since everyone has mentioend some of the more common things to avoid, I will add, if you have a cat, DO NOT BE THE ONE TO BE EMPTYING the cat box. It can cause an infection in a small number of pregnant women that cause problems for you and the baby. Also, some other things to avoid? Fighting with ANYONE about anything. Your baby needs you to be protective of your stomach and that means not placing yourself in any danger. Avoid doing any painting or scraping of paint while pregnant is wise, especially if there is ANY chance the paint that you are scraping may have lead in it. Very toxic to small fetus in very small amounts. Things I would advise doing, Folic Acid helps to make sure you have a healthy baby, prevents some common birth defects. Get plenty of sleep/rest. Eat well. Enjoy planning for your babies future, include the Poppa in this. Delight the changes and remember, once they are here, all the negatives will fall away slowly but surely. Make a plan for money, college and futures for your children and stick to it. If you have everything you need, ask for money for babies college fund. Money saved now will have years to appreciate and grow to help your young one get a good education, buy their first home and so on. Good luck!
