You know what, a lot of people are silly enough to think that telling a pregnant women how huge she is and how much bigger she's getting is a compliment.
It's not, I know.
My father-in-law was the first to say something dumb, he never repeated the mistake after the glare I gave him...(the tears in my eyes probably helped too!)
I'm 20 weeks now, and my hubby finally slipped up too - the other day we pulled in to the parking lot at WalMart and he said, "look, there's a reserved spot for pregnant women."
I was like no, that's for the ones who REALLY need it, I'm fine to walk to the door.
He comes back with "You might as well take advantage of it, you're not going to get any more pregnant than you are, you're ENORMOUS!" HE was laughing.
I was bawling, in the parking lot at WalMart.
Seriously, I know, for someone who's always been conscious of their weight and all that, it's hard to get used to getting big, especially when it seems like you're huge to begin with , and just keep getting bigger and BIGGER every week!
We've just got to keep reminding ourselves that it's for a good cause, that people who say dumb things mean well, and that it's normal, and it will all be gone a year from now!
So cry when you need to, I do too, but try to keep cheerful, you're not alone in this!
Congratulations & good luck!
Belly is beautiful!

OH my and not even half way there. Take a picture of your huge belly and post this comment in 20 more weeks, honey you don't even know whats comming! Just reflect on the fact you are the HOUSE for a PERSON and it's not about you anymore. The miracle inside loves you regardless of how big your butt will get and anyway it all goes back to normal if you stay fit and eat healthy. Your OB will tell you if your growing just right no one is built the same , even subsequent pregnancy's. good luck

I haven't had any children yet, but my sister has had 2. She was 22 when she had her first baby and she weighed only 100 pounds, she gained over 65 pounds by the time the 9 months was up. Hard on her? Yes, but perfectly normal.....sometimes it seems that those who are smaller gain a little more weight. Don't feel bad, you are carrying something that is worth it in the long run. Pregnant women are beautiful!!!

Its OK to cry! I did a lot of that with my pregnancies. It is also OK to allow your body to grow for your baby. Although it is easier for me to say now that I am no longer pregnant, but you should enjoy this phase in your life. Heck, this is the one time that you are allowed to have a big belly without people looking at you like you are just a fat slob who eats too much junk food! Try to relax and let mother nature take its course. Your baby will be healthy and beautiful!

Pregnant people aren't skinny. : ) Don't cry about it, I know it is hard to look in the mirror and not see the Skinny person you once were. But just think, you will have a beautiful baby to show for it. Just worry about the health of you and your child. The doctors will tell you if you need to be cautious on your weight gain. Good luck and you can worry about the weight thing after your baby is born!

Stop that crying! You are doing fine and do not feel you are fat. You are growing a baby and all women carry differently. You are petite so it will show more and soon you will have a beautiful baby and you can get yourself back to normal. Now, get over to the mirror and repeat this over and over ...I am beautiful. Congrats on the little one coming and cheer up. Go get with some friends and go out for lunch or something.

Hooray! for those pregnancy hormones!!!! Cry girl, cry. Let it go, cause it doesn't get any easier. So you deserve to cry all you want. Let your waddle show and be proud! Giggle every time you have to rock to get yourself and your belly out of bed or up off the couch. Rejoice in the happiness of a healthy pregnancy. And love the fact that your partner sometimes lends a helping and a smile at the fact that you need help getting out of bed.
