I was brought up by a feminist, so I'm rather biased. From my point of view there would not have been a need for feminists if man and society had behaved itself. If man hadn't devalued a woman's role in society, and hadn't taken advantage of women, and made it so that women had no other opportunities other than raising children and running a household, or ensuring that a woman's value as a person was determined by her relations with a man.

Men being men brought the feminist into being because we suppressed woman. Some guys did this without knowing that they were doing this. Most guys knew that they were doing this and felt it was their right to be able to do this, and woman being human beings, did what human beings normally do when they are being screwed with...they resists, thus, the feminist was born.
Don't blame woman, blame our stupid selves for not knowing how to share power.

The same goes for laws like Affirmative Action. There would be no need for such a stupid law, but since the white males did not know how to behave, and made it a point to cut out most opportunities from minorities, then such a bill was needed to balance the availabilities of opportunities.

If they decided to vote down Affirmative action, then this country will go back to its original Affirmative action laws which were White males get the jobs and everyone else doesn’t.

And again I say these things happen because humans have difficulty in sharing power or even behaving when they have that power. It seems like we always need someone, or some gender to suppress.

Just a thought.

No. I thought the concept of feminism was to achieve equal rights for women. Why should someone have a problem with that?

Pro-feminist. I would rather have an equal partner than someone who deep down resents being treated like a second or third class citizen.
Sooner or later resentment turns ugly. Much better to treat all people as equals

maybe the fact that woman........ are better than men so men feel the need to hate against our loves. Being swept away into the garden of roses has us men feeling gritty. Once you allow a path to flow through yoru world, you will begin to understand the true meaning of together.
