good question!
you know, I can't think of a better way to get a cross section of society's honest opinion on such a wide range of issues, even including various sponsored polls and surveys. I think even the yahoo guys themselves should consider bringing the
Y!A politics politics section to their attention because many people have had suspicions or seen evidence of politicians seeming out of touch with their voter's opinion through the years & not just in the west either.
it would do them a lot of good (and no harm at all) to read some of the answers on Y!A, and even perhaps ask a few questions as well!

you are maybe wanting to enlighten a politician?, how are you going to teach them to read?, they are not from this planet after they get elected or didn't you that, they owe no body anything after they get the job. they never know how to to the job once they got it. there is proof that when you don't know how to do a job you can convince everyone to elect you to do it and you got the job. most do not know how to do it and don't want to do it,now they understand going for a retainer fee. and sucking up. it is the bad side of politics that make stupid look smart. look at why they voted mid term, do u really want one of them here on yahoo, i don't think so. it would look real appealing and get you nothing we can do that every four years,u wouldn't understand them being here and making you promises every half hour about a world that no longer exist

not me. which politician do you think has the time to wade through all the nonsense here ? and what would they gain from it ? we are paying these people to govern our country. it would be a scandalous waste of taxpayers money if one of them had the job of reading the views of the majority of people on here. how many people that use yahoo answers do you think actually voted at the last election ? not that many.

Yes, would be great if politicians read Yahoo Answers.
Might learn a few things.
Would have to wade through a lot of drivel first, though.

I think it would be a good idea for politicians to look into what people think. However if they spent as much time as we do then they would never get anything else done.

They dont need too read this garbage. they already know how stupid and uninformed the majority of the population is in this country. Thats how they get elected, praying on the uneducated masses

They would learn a hell of a lot more about your average British voter on here, instead of sitting in the house of commons flying bits of paper around and shouting "Aye" and "nye" whilst slagging each other off when they are all as bad as other!
