My girlfriend and I put ours up the weekend after Thanksgiving.
This year, we may need to wait until the weekend after that though because she has to work Fri, Sat, and Sun after Thanksgiving....ugh.

The traditional time is after Thanksgiving. Some wait until the first day of December. Some wait until the second week in December. It is really up to you. If you prefer, you can put up your tree now if you choose. The other tradition is to keep them up 12 days from Christmas Day. Some people take them down the next day after Christmas which to me is sad. Just do what you choose and don't be concerned about tradition.

Whenever you like. If it's a live tree then not too soon or it will be too dry by Christmas. If it's an artificial tree - then whenever you like. We put up an artificial tree, and we do so every year the day after Thanksgiving. There is so much it getting it put up - we like to enjoy it for a month. We take it down the day after New Years in my house.

Anytime you like to put it up. There is no time line. There are some people who have x mas tree still up since last year. They just did not bother to bring it down due to lazyiness. Majority of people put it up sometime in December, a few weeks before Cristmas. Anyhow, Merry Cristmas and wish you all a Happy New Year.

whenever you like...most people start decorating for x mas right after thanksgiving...but there's nothing holding you back to put it up any time earlier...so whenever you like...i know some people who have theirs up for almost half a month before x mas because they want it to remind them of the sweet holiday season...

When there are helpers around to make it fun. No one is out there checking to see if you get one up or not. Do not let others' decisions cause you grief.
If it is your own flat or house, put it up when fancy takes you. I do. There are no "Tree Police" in the USA. Happy Christmas to you and all readers. Be blessed. <><
