I had my HSG in July and conceived in Oct. but it ended in miscarriage. My RE says he sees the most pregnancies 4-6 months after the HSG. Good luck!

I didn't have one, but I did have a laparoscopy. During the procedure, they did inject dye in my tubes to see if they were blocked. I actually got a video tape of the procedure and saw the dye as it came thru my tubes. My OB discovered a mild case of endometriosis during the procedure and removed it. I did conceive the very next month. I don't know exactly why my OB did a laparoscopy vs. an HSG, maybe because he also did a biopsy of my uterus lining to see if it was thick enough to sustain a pregnancy because I had a miscarriage previously. I was able to treat that with progesterone and I had a full term pregnancy and healthy baby girl. I don't know if any of this will help answer any questions you might have, but I thought I would share just in case. Best of luck to you.
