Punjabi literally mean the language of Punjab. It is a small eastern state located in India bordering Pakistan, infact it was split into 2 halfs after India and Pakistan split.
Sikhism, a religion born in India about 500-600 years ago is practised by people in Punjab.
People living in Punjab (of both India and Pakistan) are called Punjabis.
Punjabi can also refer to the Indian-Pop music that mainly originated in Punjab region of India.
