I honestly believe that violent video games have little effect on behavior. I think other factors, especially parental involvement and peer pressure, have far more influence on teens that video games. I feel that video games and other media (movies and music) have been unfairly scapegoated by politicians and the news media, when the finger should be pointed at our country's culture of fear. Other country's, Canada and Japan, have the same violent video games and movies that we do, but have only a fraction of the rates of violent crimes that the U.S. has.

nicely your second very last sentence is in part proper. 11 isn't the convinced age that persons can seperate truth and fantasy, yet violent video games could be performed through those with a mature concepts in case you realize what I propose. The regulation specifically restricts adult fabric and gory content fabric to 18 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds and up because it fairly is the accepted age that the authorities thinks that persons are mature adequate. for sure some human beings will be youthful and are able to dealing with such issues as that, yet for the sake of the regulation, it can be particular and can't be taken subjectively. also, psychologists have performed study on conditioning and the effect of experiencing consistent stimuli will condition the youngster to proceed replicating their reaction. it fairly is why they say that oldsters want to be strict at cases and coach youthful ones nicely because it fairly is even as they study the most. If the ascertain is only too laid back, the youngster would develop as a lot as be spoiled. same with violent video games; if one is fairly little and is continually uncovered to this, there's a severe probability for them to duplicate what they see. absolutely everyone is diverse, so fortunate for you, you're literally not a violent guy. although, i have seen those who've been "replaced" after taking area in those video games i replaced into taking area in an recreation with someone once, and they were swearing and speaking about sex and stuff. I requested how previous he replaced into and he suggested 10. He suggested he performed GTA, Halo, COD, etc. 10 years previous is a lot too youthful to be taking area in those and also you'll see how a lot irrelevant fabric he has discovered. On excellent of that, the moms and dads are contributing to his "spoiledness' as he informed me that they purchase in spite of he needs. As you will see that, violent video games have a fabulous effect on youthful audiences yet honestly, it will be in accordance with adulthood factor. Sorry if a number of my answer is uncertain. after I rant I have a tendency to make a lot less experience at cases.

iam a 15 year old male who plays all sorts of violent/vulgar video games and iam a straight A student that never gets in trouble. the only age group effected by violent video games would be impressionable toddlers. kids old enough to know that whats in the game is wrong usually dont show any effects.

There is only a problem when you can't decipher the difference between reality and fantasy.

If one cannot distinguish the difference, they shouldn't be playing violent video games.

Video games are consistantly made the scape goat.

that's funny. i did the same paper in high school. it's really not the games. it's the parents. i played, and still do play, violent games like grand theft auto, timesplitters, socom, tekken and whatnot and i haven't killed anyone. there are a lot of socio-economic, gender and racial factors that lead to children who play violent games acting out, like parents not paying attention to their kids. good luck though!
