It is a fake. Never click on their close window button or anything. Always click on the red x in the top right corner. You might have spyware as well that is causing this. What does the popup say?

IE has a feature to block pop ups of this kind, or you just simply ignore it, but sure is a money maker. Microsoft doesnt make advertisement of their real hotfixes that way, they are available in the official website

The website doesn't know what's in your computer. It's just a Javascript generated message aimed at duping the unsuspecting user into buying the site owner's anti-virus/spyware program.Just set your browser to block pop-ups.

It should be a Spyware or a Adware that is affecting your comuter the best way round is that you do a online scan and also perform a scan using a Antivirus or Anti Spyware program.

You can try this link for a online scan to verify:

Are there any warning icons at the bottom of your browser window? If so, then there might be a Javascript process your computer can't handle.

If not (and this is more likely), it's probably just a scamware ad. You can just close the window and ignore it.
