Who is changing the timing chain?? I think you better take this to a qualified BMW technician.....Some of those cars came with a dual vanos on the camshafts....some did not...if you screw those up and start the engine, you will be replacing it.....Not cheap used, not cheap rebuilt, and certainly not cheap new....Take it to the dealer. If he does not know the specs, obviously he has never done this before....In addition there are special tools need to keep the camshafts aligned...you must have these tools. Or it will be all downhill for this person......Dealer

Clicking? perhaps Snapping or Crackling might want to also in good structure that description? if so and seeing how the wires and plugs were purely replaced (wager what you blame first)? the most suitable ingredient done. it isn't problematical to regulate a plug, yet decrease to rubble the firing order or not connect the wires nicely and there'll be a "lightning typhoon happening lower than the hood." from undesirable connections and no potential and extra backfiring from crossed wires.

Hi there

Try www.roadfly.com and search there based on the model

You may find some owners there that have already done the job, always the best type of advice.

Hope this helps

get a repair manual from any auto supply for your make and model. they can order one if they don't have one in stock.. that, or go to a dealership and check if they have just the info you need.
