She started daycare about 2 months ago and I have noticed she is much thinner then when I took care care of her for 5 months.

If she is now in daycare she is probably much more active and burning a lot of calories. My daughter is almost 8 months old and she weighs just about 17 pounds. If you're worried see your doctor.

Sounds on the thinner side but not unreasonably thin. I have a 9 month foster daughter who only weighs 17 pounds.

That sounds normal. a baby is suppose to triple their weight by 1 year old. I have a foster child who is 16 months old and she only weighs 20 pounds. I also have a 9 month old foster child and he weighs 21 pounds. So each child is different it depends on their metabolism. Nothing to worry about she is fine.

My daughter is 5 months old and weighs 15 pounds. And she is considered on the thin side.

ask her doctor what percentile she is in. if she is above the 5th perventile she isnt underweight. but if you have noticed a drop in weight then just try to makre sure she is getting enough to eat at the day care.
usually docs say its okay if they are above the 5th percentile but they should be following their own curve on the chart and drooping from that curve the docs plot the weight on

I am a registered childminder and i look after two 8 month old girls they both are diferant weights.If she is eating and full of life dont worry not all babies are chubby all individuals .
