There is no way the I would not support a North American Union. The creation of a north American Union would only bring the United States down to the level of lowest member of the union.

I also feel the we as a nation and a people would be turning our back on what the founding fathers where trying to create.

If this happens it wouldnt be so bad, but it could never happen because americans are full of themselvves, and would want to make all the rules, and be in complete control. They like having power and showing it off (by they i mean government, not all citizens feel the same) But before we do that i think it would be important to observe the effect of the european union and learn from mistakes and problems they incounter. I definitally think it would benift mexico, and kinda of raise them up to the Canadian and American "standards." But It will not happen and one indication of this is the Fence that is being built across the Border of America. There are reasons for it no doubt, but it just seems wrong.

i'm very much adversarial. I reported this occasion on Yahoo solutions quite a few months in the past. The reaction I have been given then became into over whelming. anybody concept i became into nuts. could on no account ensue. Now that's transforming into to be a actuality. I see no earnings by any potential for any American different than the human beings sitting in the White residing house and their families. Wait till the NAFTA large street is finished. we are able to be accomplished too.

No Canadian in their right mind would support such a thing. I know that most Americans believe that their system is best but it is NOT the only democracy that works. Ours does as well and like a few of the others responders correctly said, when the pry my gun from my cold dead fingers. I like the U.S., but as a neighbour and it would be a very small minority that would support such a union.

Although I am not going to be popular for saying it, there are a lot of benefits to uniting the continent. National defense is one, a common economy is another, the sharing of natural resources is another. It would eliminate quite a few problems that we have currently.
