I am on the list yet this past election I must have received 30 or more calls from each of the parties asking for my support.
Are you on the list? Did you receive similiar calls this past election? Is'nt it annoying?

I am on the list, but political calls are exempt, so, yes, I did get a few but the answering machine got them. Just push a button and it's deleted :)

I am on the federal "Do Not Call List" and did not receive any call from this past election but I did and still do received calls from Chase Bank.

See, what you need to know about our government is that Congress exempts itself from most regulations. The Americans with Disabilities Act is one example. The Do Not Call list is another. Politicians are exempt.
Now, aren't you happy you voted for one of the two main parties instead of looking at other options?

That's why so many people are using only cell phones and giving up having a phone at home. All we get is telemarketer calls.

They were Not technically "selling" anything and that is the Only thing the "no call" list covers...

Much like the do not fax law that was put into effect, exemptions are politicians, charities and others you had previous business. "Laws" with no teeth are basically useless.
